Receiver

In this job you will be responsible for receiving and recording the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stocking to and from an establishment.

As a Receiver you will:

  • Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment
  • Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, packing slips or orders, to verify accuracy
  • Stage received materials for routing to warehouse locations or quality control inspection
  • Deliver or route materials to other departments using material handling devices
  • Route/transfer received materials to warehouse locations
  • Confer and correspond with Supply Chain team to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications
  • Maintain receiving area
  • Complete daily receiving logs
  • Record data for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes
  • Perform tasks in multi-temperature environments
  • May be required to perform Material Handling duties
  • Adhere to receiving policies/procedures, and regulatory compliance procedures
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and/or standards and complete appropriate documentation as required
  • Complete daily receiving logs
  • Provide on the job training to new/junior staff
  • Follow all health and safety policies and procedures
  • Any other duties as assigned

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a valid Forklift License
  • Possesses computer skills such as data entry, document management, label making, spreadsheets, electronic mail, warehouse management systems etc.
  • Has experience with packaging tools
  • Has experience with measurement tools
  • Has experience with material handling equipment such as dollies, forklifts, hand trucks etc.
  • Is fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Has excellent communication skills

We prefer someone who:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • 2-3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Shift:

This is a day shift position running Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Lifting Demands

  • Lift up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis floor to waist
  • Lift up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis floor to chest
  • Carry up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis up to 25 feet
  • Push/pull up to 100 lbs on an frequent basis

Postural Demands

  • Standing – continuous
  • Walking – frequent
  • Bending/stooping – frequent
  • Squatting/kneeling – frequent
  • Lifting – frequent
  • Sitting – occasional

Miscellaneous Demands

  • Griping, manipulation, fingering – frequent
  • Variable hand/power tool use – frequent
  • Two-person lifting tasks using assistive devices for lifting, pulling and pushing including hand trucks, pallet jacks, and hoists

What we offer you:

Pay Range is typically between $19.71 to $25.48 per hour
