Molding Technician Team Lead III

Reporting to Quality Manager – Epox, this position involves team leadership, problem solving, electrical testing, data analysis and improvement trials aiding engineers to improve the COQ and state of Molding Technologies in EPOX.

As Molding Technician Team Lead III you will:

  • Assist in leading 245 Technician Team through mentoring and direct support
  • Work collaboratively with all departments to improve, and control processes and performance.
  • Participate in kaizen events.
  • Monitor and develop reports for measuring and tracking quality and operational metrics
  • Monitor trends and develop reports on Non-Conforming Product (NCR’s). Initiate corrective actions, when appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain training documentation to support 245 Technician Team
  • Perform detailed study of failed parts, troubleshooting, and Root Cause Analysis
  • Develop programs and perform detailed inspections of parts using instructions and X-Ray
  • Cut open and evaluate modules for further analysis
  • Assist with electrical testing of parts as per instructions
  • Assist with thermal testing of parts
  • Assist with electrical soak testing
  • Perform other lab tests as instructed
  • Support engineers and Quality Team in performing continuous improvement trials
  • Participate in Six Sigma Continual Improvement process

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has at least 2 years of experience in a Quality or Technical Technician role
  • Must be able to safety use small hand and power tools
  • Must be able to read and interpret Drawings and Bills of Material
  • Must have intermediate computer skills and be familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have basic problem-solving skills
  • Possesses a High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development
  • Preferably has 2-3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment desirable, molding machine operation
  • Ideally has basic experience using 5-why root cause analysis
  • Preferably has basic experience using 8-step Problem Solving desirable

The physical demands of the job are:

  • General Office Environment, PC use
  • Light lifting (frequent 25 lbs. or less)
  • Stooping
  • Standing
  • Heavy Lifting (occasional 35 lbs.)

What we offer you:

Pay Range is typically between $28 – $35 per hour
