Director, Global Learning & Development
The Director of Global Learning & Development is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive learning and development strategies that support the organization’s global goals – focused on both technical and leadership training. This role involves overseeing a team of learning professionals, managing global training programs, and ensuring that learning initiatives enhance employee performance and organizational effectiveness across all regions.
As a Director of Global Learning & Development you will be responsible for:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a global learning and development strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives and culture.
- Lead the creation of innovative learning programs that drive employee engagement, retention, and performance improvement.
- Partner with senior leadership to identify key learning priorities and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Program Development and Training Delivery:
- Oversee the design and implementation of global training programs, including leadership development, technical skills training, and compliance training.
- Offer a variety of training methods, including in-person workshops, online courses, blended learning, and OTJ training.
- Ensure that learning programs are culturally relevant and accessible to a diverse, global workforce.
- Utilize advanced learning technologies and methodologies to enhance program delivery and effectiveness, including an LMS to manage and deliver programs.
- Incorporate interactive and engaging training methods, such as simulations, gamification, and virtual reality.
- Performance Measurement and Improvement:
- Conduct regular assessments to identify skill gaps and training needs.
- Establish metrics and evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness and impact of learning programs.
- Analyze data to identify trends, measure ROI, and make data-driven decisions to continuously improve learning initiatives.
- Report on learning outcomes and progress to senior leadership.
- Global Coordination and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with regional HR leaders and business units to ensure consistent delivery and implementation of learning programs.
- Build relationships with external partners, including training vendors and consultants, to enhance program offerings.
- Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of learning and development professionals and apprentices, providing guidance, support, and professional growth opportunities.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team and the broader organization.
- Compliance and Best Practices:
- Ensure all learning programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements across different regions.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and innovations in learning and development.
- Regularly review and update training materials to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
- Foster a culture of continue learning and development within the organization.
We are looking for someone with:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in learning and development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing global learning strategies and programs, including at the hourly level.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and other learning technologies.
- Experience with facilitation and/or addressing audiences ranging from 10-300
- Ability to travel internationally as needed.
Ideally you will have:
- A Certification in Learning and Development (e.g., CPTD, ATD).
- Experience with digital transformation and the integration of new learning technologies.

What we offer you:
Typical pay is $128,700 – 170,500 annually.

This position is eligible for participation in our Quarterly Incentive Pay Program
