Health, Safety and Environmental Coordinator- INTERNSHIP (Jan-Aug 2025)
Reporting to the Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, this internship will be responsible for for supporting all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives. Responsible for providing administrative support primarily to the HSE department and Operations through a variety of tasks including but not limited to: data collection & entry, scheduling of required training, maintaining of training records, ordering of department supplies/equipment, promoting safe behaviors plus all other operational admin tasks delegated by the Operations Leadership
As Coordinator you will:
- Review and Update Hazardous Chemical Inventory
- Work with EHS Team to ensure timely documentation of Incident Investigation, and Hazard Recognition Corrective Actions
- Ensure all HSE records of training are well maintained
- Promote the Organization’s safety culture through the creation of safety talks
- Assist HSE Team to ensure compliance with environmental requirements through data collection, audits, and inspections
- Update PPE database with new employee information
- Schedule EHS related meetings and training for all, and specific employees
- Assess/order First Aid supplies and ensure timely restock
- Update and maintain MSDS Online paperwork
- Maintain procedure, work instructions, and procedures in ETQ, making updates from mark ups as required
- Coordinate ad hoc safety initiatives/programs, as required
We are looking for someone who:
- Currently enrolled in a University or College Program full-time
- Has some experience working in the Health & Safety field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel features (Lookups, Pivot)
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work
- At least 1-2 years of experience in an administrative role
